Yesterday, there was a black out in Miri from around 11am until 7pm.
I wait in the office until 4pm and still there was no current. After this, my colleague and I decided to go back since there is no point to wait anymore.
After came out from the office, I went to Imperial Mall to get some groceries. There was no current also but they were operating using generators. Then, the current finally restored at around 4.20pm at Imperial Mall.
Luckily, when I got back home, the current at my housing area there is already restored.... Otherwise, we would going to have candle light dinner... ;))
Before this, SESCO sent a notice to our office mentioning that the current to our area here will be disconnected for almost half a day for cable installation on 18/7/07. However, the current only got disconnected for 15 minutes only. Yesterday, without any notice, the current got disconnected for half a day.. :-<

Ya, no power can be a bummer. But i can assure you it was not intentional, something happend yesterday (which i am sure it will be out in the news tomorrow).
Hehe..no i do not work for the power company..but i know some body there.
The engineers and the Regional manager were on hand to fix the problem.
